Where n8n fits in a GTM engineer’s toolkit
As a GTM engineer, a bulk of your job is to build systems that generate pipeline. That typically means pulling data from multiple sources, enriching it, personalizing outreach, pushing it into a sequencer, and making sure the right internal people get notified at the right time.
But a GTM system is bigger than just your data layer and your sequencer. You have your CRM, internal Slack channels, client onboarding workflows, reporting dashboards, billing triggers, content distribution, and dozens of other processes that need to talk to each other. When a deal moves to a certain stage in your CRM, maybe you need to automatically spin up an onboarding sequence, notify the CS team in Slack, create a project in your task manager, and send the client a welcome email from a different tool entirely. When a prospect replies positively, maybe that needs to update the CRM, alert the AE, and log it in a shared sheet for your weekly pipeline review.
